Dental Surgeon
BSc, BDS
I am a Hawkes Bay born and bred lad. I attended Hastings Boys High and went down to Otago to do dentistry having been influenced by my good friend Dr Ian Rosenberg who practices in Hastings. On graduation with a degree with credit, I returned to Hawkes Bay and worked for 2 years under the oral surgeon Mr David Arnott.
Following that, and considering oral surgery, I realised I enjoyed general dentistry too much to specialise. So I worked with Dr David Marshall for a few years before heading off overseas and working in London, Edinburgh and Plymouth. On my return, this practice was on the market with Drs Murray Holland and Stewart Longly both still serving the people of Napier well. That was 17 years ago now (wow does time fly) but we haven’t looked back.
My wife Sharlene, along with our boys Hunter and Grayson are actively involved in the local community and school, the boys enjoy Puketapu School and we make the most of our local rivers and beaches in our spare time. If you can’t find us up the Tutaekuri River trout fishing we’ll be out at Waimarama Beach surfing!
I look forward to meeting you and discussing your dental needs. Remember that you always have options when it comes to your teeth and gums and do not feel afraid to discuss with me exactly what it is that you want. I love dentistry and everything that goes with it. I have a passion for the job and I care about people. Hopefully this will reflect in what you see when you visit our practice.
